As we have all been witnessing, the past few days have been very hard for several regions of the country, with loss of lives, storms, destruction, damaged homes, missing people, and families and employees in extreme situations.
José Germano de Sousa, President of the Association of Family Businesses, reacted immediately and spoke on behalf of all of us: “YOU ARE NOT ALONE.”
The response was direct and supportive because our Family Businesses have, for generations, overcome crises and ensured the well-being of those they represent and the communities where they operate.
With member companies from all sectors of activity, across all regions of the country, and many with more than 200 years of history, we know that OUR STRENGTH IS IN UNITY.
The first solidarity destination was Marinha Grande, where a team of volunteers delivered essential goods this Saturday.
The response to the appeal is echoing. The teams are coordinated, and our collection point in Lisbon is the Association’s headquarters.
