Business families cross generations when they are aware of the challenges of sustainability. The fundamental challenge is typically to simultaneously maintain healthy family relationships and high sustainable performance in the family business. The course will take place in Leiria (Palace Hotel Monte Real), starting with dinner on the 1st and running until the end of 3rd December. The cost includes accommodation and all meals, in an immersion format that will allow you to connect with purpose and reflection groups. Participants will have a 2-hour follow-up session per family, 2 months after the course, developing a personalised and focused dynamic.
The Family Business Association and IVENS Governance Advisors have created the ‘IVENS: Creating an Everlasting Family Business’ development initiative to support development in key themes: leadership, succession, strategic execution, dividend payments and decision-making. The course will address topics that will help maintain family harmony and business performance, integrating perspectives to make robust and aligned decisions, as well as ensuring competent, sustainable and aligned leadership. Therefore, balancing stability, sustainability and monitoring progress is one of the most challenging transgenerational missions.
IVENS Governance Advisors - a family business - specialises in developing the capabilities of strategic leadership teams in complex organisations. Using their experience with founders, managers and directors, they want to contribute to the transformation of entrepreneurial families into effective teams, discussing sensitive topics under the guidance of best practices in successful entrepreneurial families. They will use case studies in Portuguese from Harvard Business School, Stanford and Ivey, which will combine IVENS' experience with the method of sharing, debating and moderating solid content. Thank you for your time and best regards.
