Amsterdam - the 4th European Family Business Summit
    29th-30th May 2017 Amsterdam

    Programme the 29th of May

    Gala Dinner

On Monday the 29th of May we will welcome our guests with a Gala Dinner in a truly historical and mesmerizing venue, the National Maritime Museum (Het Scheepvaartmuseum).

18.00 - 19.00 | Boat transfer from hotel to Gala Dinner

Amsterdam is sometimes referred to as the 'Venice of the North'. 100 km of canals divide the city into smaller islands, connected by beautiful historic bridges. Therefore Amsterdam is best seen from the water, and on this 45-minute canal cruise to the Gala Dinner location you will experience the best of this historical city. This cruise takes you through the unique UNESCO World Heritage canal district.

You will be able to admire the elegant merchants’ houses that have lined the canals since the Golden Age, the majestic façades and gables, beautiful churches and many more highlights.

The boat departs at 18.00 from the Stadhouderskade, in walking distance from the recommended hotels where we have blocked a limited number of rooms at special rates.

19.00 - 19.45 | Welcome at the National Maritime Musuem (Scheepsvaartmuseum)

The Gala Dinner of the European Family Business Summit 2017 will take place at the National Maritime Museum (Scheepvaartmuseum). The museum has one of the largest maritime collections in the world. The building dates from 1656 and it is here where the war ships of the Dutch Republic were equipped. Outside of the venue you find the replica of the three masted “Amsterdam”, a large vessel of the Dutch East India Company. All participants will have the opportunity to have their family photos taken in front of this historical ship.

    19.45 - 22.30 | Gala Dinner

During a high-class Gala Dinner all participants will be able to meet other family business owners and get acquainted with their peers. The evening will conclude with a networking moment for all the guests.
